Requires vendors with food procurement contracts of $100,000 or more with governmental bodies to submit annual reports on total food purchases and Montana-produced food purchases, broken down by category (meat, produce, dairy, grains, beverages, etc.)

Allows Montana-produced food products to be purchased through direct purchase (bypassing standard procurement) when quality is equivalent, supply is sufficient, and pricing does not unreasonably exceed out-of-state bids

Exempts alcoholic beverage contracts made by the Department of Revenue under Title 16 from the reporting requirements

Directs the department to adopt rules for administering the procurement exception and reporting requirements

Effective July 1, 2025, applying to contracts entered into or renewed after June 30, 2025
