Wind turbine towers constructed or installed after January 1, 2026 may not exceed 350 feet in height, measured from ground level to the middle of the turbine rotor hub

Wind turbines may not be excessively lit beyond minimum FAA requirements beginning January 1, 2026

FAA-approved aircraft detection lighting systems (radar-activated lights) must be installed on all wind generation facilities with towers exceeding 200 feet in height

Applies to wind generation facilities with nameplate capacity of 25 megawatts or greater

Existing wind turbine towers constructed before January 1, 2026 are exempt from the height restriction
