All buildings owned or operated by the state of Montana must have automatic fire sprinkler or fire suppression systems installed

Amends Section 50-60-203, MCA, which governs the state building code requirements adopted by the department

Adds this fire suppression requirement as a new mandatory provision that the department must include in the state building code

Existing code provisions remain unchanged, including prohibitions on requiring fire sprinklers in single-family dwellings and residential buildings with two or fewer units
