Prohibits health insurers and other parties legally responsible for health care claims from denying claims submitted by the Department of Public Health and Human Services solely because the provider failed to obtain prior authorization under the third party payer's rules

Applies to health insurance issuers, multiple employer welfare arrangements, third-party administrators, HMOs, pharmacy benefit managers, and health services corporations operating in Montana

Claims must be submitted within 3 years of service and enforcement actions must begin within 6 years of claim submission to qualify for these protections

Does not require third parties to pay claims for services not covered under their plans or impose liability beyond what entities otherwise bear

Amends Section 33-1-111, MCA, regarding eligibility requirements for health insurance issuers doing business in Montana
