Honors Laverne Parrish, a WWII Army medical aidman who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for treating 37 wounded soldiers under enemy fire before being killed on January 24, 1945, in Luzon, Philippines

Directs the Department of Transportation to design and install signs marking the memorial highway location

Requires state maps to be updated to include the memorial highway designation when maps are next published

Effective immediately upon passage and approval
