First responders diagnosed with PTSD may file compensable workers' compensation claims if the condition arises out of the course and scope of employment and meets DSM criteria as of July 1, 2025

"First responder" is defined as firefighters, law enforcement officers, and emergency care providers as defined in Montana Code 50-6-202(2)

Creates an exception to Montana's general prohibition on compensating "mental-mental" or "mental-physical" stress claims under workers' compensation law

Amends existing workers' compensation statutes (39-71-105, 39-71-116, and 39-71-119) to add PTSD as a compensable injury category for qualifying first responders

Effective July 1, 2025, and applies to claims where the PTSD-causing events occurred on or after that date
