Grade A pasteurized milk containers must display both a "best by" date (or "use by" date) and the pasteurization date, with the processor determining how many days after pasteurization the milk should remain fresh and safe

Labels must use Arabic numerals or standard abbreviations, be at least 1/8 inch in height, contrast clearly with the surrounding area, and be placed on specific container locations (top sealing fin for cartons, upper half for plastic jugs)

Milk sold in violation of these labeling requirements may be seized and destroyed by Department of Livestock agents

Department of Livestock must amend ARM 32.8.101 to eliminate the "sell by" date definition and is prohibited from adopting new rules to implement this section

Repeals five existing administrative rules (ARM 32.8.202 through 32.8.206) and takes effect immediately upon passage and approval
