Public postsecondary institutions governed by the Montana Board of Regents must reimburse students for medical costs resulting from COVID-19 vaccinations that were required for attendance

Eligible conditions include myocarditis, pericarditis, thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome, Guillain-Barre syndrome, and other diseases the Board of Regents determines have a positive association with COVID-19 vaccines

Reimbursable costs cover diagnosis, treatment, and lost wages or income due to illness from qualifying conditions

Students must submit vaccination records, certification the vaccine was required by the institution, medical provider certification of diagnosis, and medical cost documentation

Applies retroactively to any student who attended a covered institution after January 20, 2020, and takes effect immediately upon passage and approval
