Requires all agreements relating to college athletes' name, image, and likeness (NIL) rights to be in writing to be legally valid, adding NIL contracts to Montana's statute of frauds (Section 28-2-903, MCA)

Applies to student-athletes at 2-year and 4-year public or private colleges and universities in Montana

Mandates that NIL contracts comply with existing written contract requirements, making oral NIL agreements invalid and inadmissible as evidence in court

Amends existing student-athlete rights law (Section 20-1-232, MCA) to cross-reference the new written contract requirement

Effective June 1, 2025
