Establishes a tiered compensation system for legislators attending in-person meetings when the legislature is not in session, based on round-trip distance: 100 miles or less (1 day pay, mileage, midday meal), 100-400 miles (2 days pay, 6 meals, 2 nights lodging), 400+ miles (3 days pay, 9 meals, 2 nights lodging)

Legislators participating remotely in interim committee business receive one full day's pay per 24-hour period with no travel or meal reimbursement

Removes legislative subcommittee and interim committee members from the midday meal allowance provision that applies to state board/commission members regardless of meeting proximity to residence

Prohibits compensation for additional days if non-authorized legislative business extends a legislator's stay beyond the authorized period

Effective immediately upon passage and approval
