Requests the Legislative Council to assign an interim or statutory committee to study electric transmission capacity on Paths 8, 18, 80, and 83 in Montana

Study must analyze economic impacts on Montana citizens and industry from congestion and curtailments on transmission pathways

Requires identification of resources in interconnection queues, sampling of market depth and power supply pricing for large loads, and recommendations for specific transmission capacity upgrades with cost-benefit analysis

All study aspects, including presentation and review, must be concluded prior to September 15, 2026

Final results, findings, and recommendations must be reported to the 70th Legislature
