Legislative Council would conduct an interim study of the procurement process in the Legislative Branch and the allocation and expenditure of House and Senate leadership funds

Study must evaluate whether more internal controls are needed for procurement across the Legislative Branch, its divisions, and both chambers

Study must determine what training House and Senate leadership need on procurement procedures, as leaders currently receive no formal training

Study must identify ways to increase transparency to the public and legislators regarding how leadership funds are allocated and spent

All aspects of the study must be completed by September 15, 2026, with final results reported to the 70th Legislature
