Requests the Legislative Council to designate an interim committee to study noxious weed control laws, which are currently spread across at least eight different titles in the Montana Code Annotated

Directs review of the powers and responsibilities of District Weed Boards and District Weed Coordinators in enforcing noxious weed compliance, which are currently unclear

Requires research into available weed control strategies (herbicides, materials, equipment) and examination of how other states structure their noxious weed statutes

Mandates collaboration with stakeholders including weed coordinators, Montana Weed Control Association, tribal governments, MSU extension service, and Departments of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Fish, Wildlife & Parks

Study must be completed by September 15, 2026, with findings reported to the 70th Legislature as introduced legislation
