Creates a separate felony offense for injuring a pregnant woman past her twentieth week of pregnancy that results in miscarriage or stillbirth, punishable one classification higher than the underlying felony offense.

Establishes that if the underlying offense is a Class A or Class B1 felony, the separate offense shall be classified as a Class A felony.

Upgrades the misdemeanor offense for injuring a pregnant woman through domestic violence to one class higher, with Class A1 misdemeanors elevated to Class I felonies.

Adds pregnancy as an aggravating factor in felony sentencing cases.

Prohibits use of a felony under this section as the underlying offense for charging felony murder and becomes effective December 1, 2009.
