Requires the Hearing Aid Dealers and Fitters Board to coordinate a task force to develop consumer guidelines for purchasing hearing aids and treating hearing loss.

Task force shall include a licensed hearing aid dealer/fitter, a hearing aid consumer, a practicing audiologist, a physician treating hearing loss, a representative from the Division of Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, a Consumer Protection Division representative, and may include other interested stakeholders.

Board must report task force findings and recommendations, along with methods to disseminate the guidelines, to the North Carolina Study Commission on Aging and the Joint Legislative Health Care Oversight Committee by November 15, 2010.

Act becomes effective upon enactment (ratified July 9, 2010).
