Honors the founders and contributors to the Town of Tryon on the occasion of its 125th charter anniversary on March 11, 2010.

Recognizes historical milestones including the town's 1885 charter, establishment of cultural institutions like Lanier Library (1889) and Tryon Fine Arts Center (1969), and notable residents including Nina Simone and William Gillette.

Acknowledges Tryon's contributions to North Carolina leadership, including state legislators T.T. Ballenger, Francis T. Bacon, and Carroll P. Rogers who helped preserve Tryon Palace.

Encourages citizens to participate in anniversary celebration activities planned through March 10, 2011.

Directs the Secretary of State to transmit a certified copy of the resolution to the Mayor of Tryon.
