Reestablishes the Legislative Task Force on Childhood Obesity with 12 members (6 House, 6 Senate) with one cochair from each chamber.

Task Force is directed to study and recommend strategies addressing childhood obesity including early childhood intervention, school nutrition and physical education, recreational access, and community awareness initiatives.

Initial member terms run through the 2011 General Assembly session, with subsequent terms continuing until the Task Force terminates.

Task Force members receive per diem and travel allowances per state law and may request assistance from Legislative Services staff and contract for professional services.

Task Force shall submit reports to the 2010 General Assembly and may submit additional reports to the 2011 General Assembly, with termination occurring upon convening of the 2012 Regular Session.
