Honors Sergeant Mickey Hutchens, a 27-year member of the Winston-Salem Police Department who died on October 12, 2009, from injuries sustained in a gunshot wound received on October 7, 2009.

Expresses the General Assembly's appreciation for Hutchens' outstanding dedication and service as a law enforcement officer.

Extends the General Assembly's sympathy to Hutchens' surviving family members, including his wife Beth, daughters Jill and Leah, mother Shirley, stepfather Donald Bowen, and sisters Sherri and Wendy.

Directs the Secretary of State to transmit a certified copy of the resolution to Hutchens' family.
