H.B. 1926 Summary

• Authorizes the Division of Motor Vehicles to produce two new special registration plates: one for the NC Fisheries Association bearing "Our Oldest Industry" and one for the American Red Cross bearing "American Red Cross Saving Lives."

• Sets additional fees of $20.00 for the NC Fisheries Association plate and $30.00 for the American Red Cross plate, subject to regular motor vehicle registration fees.

• Distributes plate fee revenues between the Special Registration Plate Account and Collegiate and Cultural Attraction Plate Account, with $10 and $20 respectively for NC Fisheries Association, and $10 and $20 respectively for American Red Cross.

• Requires 300 or more applications before each plate can be developed and mandates quarterly transfers of revenues to the respective organizations for promotional purposes.

• Effective July 1, 2010.
