Honors Hoyt Patrick Taylor, Sr. (1890-1964) and his son Hoyt Patrick "Pat" Taylor, Jr. (born 1924), the only father-son pair elected as Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina.

Hoyt Patrick Taylor, Sr. served as Lieutenant Governor (1949-1953), in the State Senate (1937, 1939, 1943), as Mayor of Wadesboro, and on various state boards including the State Board of Education; he served in World War I and received the Silver Star and Purple Heart.

Hoyt Patrick Taylor, Jr. served as Lieutenant Governor (1969-1973), in the North Carolina House of Representatives for six terms (1955-1966), served as Speaker of the House, and received the Judge John J. Parker Award from the North Carolina Bar Association in 1961.

Directs the Legislative Services Division to display a certified copy of the resolution with pictures of both men in a prominent location within the Legislative Building.

Acknowledges the Taylor family's donation of personal and political papers and records of both men to the state, with certified copies to be sent to the family and Pat Taylor, Jr.
