Allocates $330,000 to East Carolina School of Medicine for a high-risk maternity clinic serving 29 eastern counties to improve birth outcomes.

Allocates $150,000 to Healthy Start Foundation for the Safe Sleep Campaign to reduce SIDS and sleep-related suffocations, and $460,000 for maternal health education and outreach programs.

Allocates $97,000 to UNC School of Medicine for progesterone treatment to reduce preterm births among low-income non-Medicaid women with prior preterm birth history.

Requires the Division of Medical Assistance to maintain current provider reimbursement rates for prenatal, maternity, and maternity care coordination services.
