Appropriates $4,000,000 from the General Fund to the Board of Governors of The University of North Carolina for fiscal year 2010-2011.

Funds are allocated to the Industrial Extension Service at North Carolina State University to expand service bases to other universities across the state.

Expansion aims to leverage university resources and expertise in providing business analysis services to companies within their regions.

The Industrial Extension Service has historically saved or created an average of 1,000 private industry jobs annually and enabled approximately $250 million in increased sales and reduced costs.

Becomes effective July 1, 2010.
