Amends Section 4.4 of the Charter of the City of Brevard (Chapter 415 of the 1981 Session Laws) to transfer appointment authority for the City Clerk from the City Council to the City Manager.

The City Manager shall appoint the City Clerk and determine the Clerk's compensation, replacing the previous authority held by the City Council.

The City Clerk's duties remain unchanged: maintaining council proceedings journals, safeguarding city records and documents, and performing other duties as required by law or directed by the City Manager.

Designated as a local bill affecting only the City of Brevard.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
