Appropriates $65,000 from the General Fund to the North Carolina Department of Agriculture for fiscal year 2010-2011 to establish a dedicated position for administering and operating the Farm to School Program.

Position duties include increasing educational components, developing a list of farmers willing to sell to schools, encouraging school participation, expanding current efforts, and providing technical assistance to farmers.

Directs the position to work with the Department of Public Instruction on Farm to School curriculum materials aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.

Requires the Department of Agriculture to file annual reports on the program covering participation rates, produce purchased, educational initiatives, and expansion efforts to multiple legislative committees and oversight bodies.

Takes effect July 1, 2010.
