Appropriates $575,000 from the General Fund to the Department of Health and Human Services for the 2010-2011 fiscal year.

Allocates funds equally among 23 fully certified child advocacy centers in North Carolina.

Funds support expanding forensic interviewing capabilities, increasing multidisciplinary team training, and developing comprehensive community responses to child abuse.

Coordinates investigative, prosecutorial, child protection, and treatment efforts in child abuse cases to reduce multiple contacts with different agencies.

Becomes effective July 1, 2010.
