Appropriates $200,000 from the General Fund to the North Carolina Science Olympiad nonprofit organization for the 2010-2011 fiscal year.

Funds designated to expand Science Olympiad programs to all 100 North Carolina counties.

Supports sponsorship of at least 15 regional tournaments and increased school participation in the program.

Provides funding for a State director position to coordinate the Science Olympiad program.

Effective date of July 1, 2010.
