Authorizes the 2009 General Assembly to consider legislation addressing probation revocation for first-time drug offenders enrolled in drug education programs.

Proposes that courts shall not revoke probation for a first-time drug offender participating in a drug education program if the defendant is merely charged with another crime.

Requires that probation revocation only occur if the defendant is convicted of the additional crime, not based on charges alone.

Resolution becomes effective upon ratification.
