State Board of Education shall appoint a task force including members from Department of Public Instruction, Department of Cultural Resources, at least one House member, and at least one Senate member to develop a Comprehensive Arts Education Development plan.

Task force shall consider policies for arts education requirements including arts instruction in grades K-5, all four arts disciplines available in grades 6-8 with at least one required each year, and high school arts electives.

Task force shall evaluate a high school graduation requirement in the arts and further development of the A+ Schools Program.

Task force shall submit recommendations and proposed legislation to the Joint Legislative Education Oversight Committee by December 1, 2010.

Act became effective upon enactment on July 1, 2010.
