Removes the requirement that the Town Manager of Mayodan be a resident of the town at the time of appointment.

Eliminates the previous requirement that the Town Manager reside within five miles of the town limits during tenure of office.

Maintains that the Town Manager must be chosen solely on the basis of executive and administrative qualifications and experience.

Preserves the restriction that former Mayors or Council members cannot be appointed Town Manager until one year after their term expires.

Effective upon becoming law (ratified June 28, 2012).
