Renames the "North Carolina Sustainable Local Food Advisory Council" to the "North Carolina Local Food Advisory Council" by removing the word "sustainable" throughout the statute.

Extends the sunset date of the council from July 31, 2012 to July 31, 2017.

Increases local conventional food producer representation on the council from 2 members to 4 members (changing from one animal and one crop producer to two animal and two crop producers).

Eliminates the separate category for "local sustainable food producers" on the council (previously 2 members).

Maintains council's duties to develop local food programs and policies related to school nutrition, public assistance programs, urban gardens, economic development, and regulatory barriers.
