State Board of Education must direct all local school administrative units to explore ways to enhance arts exposure, integration, and education using community resources to provide comprehensive arts education to all students.

Local school administrative units must seek public-private partnerships and collaborate with local arts and civic groups to recruit volunteers for developing and supporting comprehensive arts education programs.

Each local school administrative unit must report to the State Board of Education by June 1, 2013, on its implementation of the bill's requirements.

State Board of Education must report to the Joint Legislative Education Oversight Committee by September 1, 2013, on statewide implementation of the act.

The act takes effect upon becoming law.
