Honors the life and memory of William Maner "Bill" Ives, a former member of the North Carolina House of Representatives who served three terms from 1993 to 1998.

Recognizes Ives' service to Transylvania County, North Carolina, and the nation, including his roles as Chair of the Transylvania County Board of Commissioners (1972-1976, 1980-1984) and involvement in numerous community organizations.

Acknowledges Ives' legislative service on committees including Human Resources, Education, Insurance, and State Government, and his roles as Chair of the Human Resources Subcommittee on Families and Cochair of the Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government.

Extends the General Assembly's sympathy to Ives' family following his death on April 20, 2011, at age 77.

Directs the Secretary of State to transmit a certified copy of the resolution to Ives' family; ratified June 26, 2012.
