Honors the 100th anniversary of the Raleigh Fire Department, which was organized in December 1912 as a full-paid fire department after over 50 years of service by citizen fire companies.

Recognizes the department's growth from 15 members and 2 fire stations in 1912 to 575 uniformed and civilian members operating 27 fire stations in 2012, protecting a population of 403,892 across 144.8 square miles.

Commends Fire Chief Sherwood Brockwell as the first full-time Chief of Department and acknowledges all founders and members who have served in the department's protection of Raleigh citizens.

Directs the Secretary of State to transmit a certified copy of the resolution to the Fire Chief of the City of Raleigh.
