Designates the month of March of each year as Kidney Month in North Carolina.

Adds a new section (§ 103-13) to Chapter 103 of the General Statutes to establish this designation.

Acknowledges that North Carolina ranks ninth nationally for kidney replacement therapy and spends $5 billion annually on kidney disease-related health expenses.

Identifies that one in nine North Carolinians is at risk for chronic kidney disease due to aging population, obesity, diabetes, and hypertension.

Aims to promote public awareness of chronic kidney disease and encourage early detection and treatment to prevent dialysis and transplantation needs.
