Exempts small-scale agricultural product processing from wastewater permit requirements under G.S. 143-215.1.

Applies only when processing is carried out by the owner of the agricultural products and generates no more than 1,000 gallons of wastewater per day.

Requires wastewater disposal by land application with no discharge to surface waters and no violation of surface water or groundwater standards.

Excludes wastewater from animal waste management systems as defined in G.S. 143-215.10B.

Effective upon enactment, signed into law April 19, 2011.
