Honors Charles Douglas "Charlie" Brown, Jr., a Martin County Sheriff's deputy killed in the line of duty on December 8, 2009, during a confrontation with a suspect in Williamston.

Recognizes Brown's service as a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served during Operation Desert Storm and nearly 15 years in law enforcement, including work with the North Carolina Department of Correction, Narcotics Unit, and K-9 Unit.

Expresses the House's appreciation for Brown's service to law enforcement and extends sympathy to his surviving family: wife Cindy, daughters Morgen and Carlie, parents Cindy Lucille Brown and Charles Brown Sr., and brother Chris Brown.

Directs the Principal Clerk to transmit a certified copy of the resolution to Brown's family.
