Expands territorial jurisdiction of company police officers to enforce motor vehicle and criminal laws on public streets and highways that pass through or are immediately adjoining private property under contract with the company police agency.

Adds new subdivision (4) to G.S. 74E-6(c) authorizing company police to exercise arrest powers on portions of public streets or highways passing through or adjacent to employer-controlled or contracted property.

Removes previous language from subsection (d) that granted campus police officers specific authority on public roads and highways, consolidating this authority under the new general provision for all company police officers.

Applies to all three classifications of company police officers: Campus Police, Railroad Police, and Special Police Officers.

Effective upon enactment.
