Allow company police officers who are off private property contracted by their employer to operate emergency equipment and lights while providing assistance at crash scenes, fires, and other public safety emergencies.

Authorize company police officers to direct traffic, provide emergency care, and assist law enforcement officers, firefighters, or other emergency personnel during emergency situations outside their normal territorial jurisdiction.

Specify that emergency assistance authority does not confer law enforcement jurisdiction beyond what is already granted in statute.

Permit company police officers to remain at emergency scenes outside their territory until proper authorities bring the situation under control.

Make the act effective upon becoming law.
