Appropriates $65,000 for fiscal year 2011-2012 and $65,000 for fiscal year 2012-2013 to the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Funds establish one new child death research position and reclassify an existing research assistant position to better reflect job duties and responsibilities.

Addresses delays and inefficiencies in child death research and training in child death scene investigation, which are critical components of the Child Fatality Prevention System established in 1991.

Effective July 1, 2011.
