Allows registered voters of Burke County School Administrative Unit to initiate recall petitions against members of the Burke County Board of Education.

Requires recall petitions to be filed within 30 days of the initial affidavit and signed by at least 15% of registered voters in the school administrative unit to be valid.

Mandates Burke County Board of Elections to investigate petition sufficiency within 15 days and schedule a recall election between 60-90 days after certification of a sufficient petition.

Removes an official from office if a majority of votes cast support recall; vacancy is filled according to law, but the removed official cannot be appointed to fill their own vacancy.

Prohibits new recall petitions during the first or last six months of a term and prevents recall elections against officials who have already survived one recall election during their current term; effective January 1, 2012.
