Allows Currituck County to adopt ordinances permitting legal notice of public hearings to be published electronically instead of in newspapers, on the county's Internet site or through other electronic means.

Electronic publication does not replace State law requirements for mailed notice to certain classes of persons or posting of signs on specific property.

Electronic publication does not alter the publication schedule required by State law.

Extends existing electronic notice provisions previously limited to Cabarrus County to now include both Cabarrus and Currituck Counties.

Effective upon becoming law.
