Appropriates $400,000 for fiscal year 2011-2012 and $400,000 for fiscal year 2012-2013 to the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health, Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Branch for community education campaigns and communication strategies in partnership with the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.

Funds allocated for stroke awareness education focusing on stroke signs and symptoms and the importance of immediate response to stroke events.

Appropriates $50,000 for fiscal year 2011-2012 and $50,000 for fiscal year 2012-2013 for continued operations of the Stroke Advisory Council.

Becomes effective July 1, 2011.
