Exempts vehicles hauling live poultry from farm to processing facilities within 150 miles from standard vehicle weight limits under G.S. 20-118(c)(12).

Extends existing agricultural product exemption to include live poultry transport, alongside the existing exemption for hauling agricultural crops from farms to markets.

Maintains weight restrictions for exempt vehicles: maximum 22,000 pounds single-axle, 42,000 pounds tandem-axle, and 90,000 pounds gross weight.

Prohibits exempt vehicles from operating on interstate highways or exceeding posted bridge weight limits during agricultural product transportation.

Effective December 1, 2011, with provisions clarifying that the law does not affect prosecutions for offenses committed before the effective date.
