Reduces food service inspection frequency for Medicare/Medicaid-certified nursing homes achieving an "A" sanitation grade to a minimum of two inspections per year until October 1, 2012, then one inspection per year thereafter.

Allows counties to conduct additional inspections if a facility receives a "B" grade or lower until the food service operation achieves an "A" grade.

Permits counties to conduct evaluations or inspections in response to complaints or for public safety reasons regardless of the facility's current grade.

Becomes effective October 1, 2011.
