Honors the life and memory of Irene Pace Hairston, a Forsyth County educator and civic leader who died on June 17, 2010, at age 96.

Recognizes her 42 years of service as an educator in Forsyth County with a special focus on drama and performing arts.

Acknowledges her extensive community leadership including service on the Winston-Salem Urban League Board, Forsyth County Public Library Board (23 years, 8 consecutive terms as chair), and City/County Planning Board (vice-chair 1980-1996).

Notes her honors including "Woman of the Year" by the Winston-Salem Chronicle (1992), Doctor of Humane Letters from Winston-Salem State University (1993), and American Library Association's National Outstanding Trustee Citation (1997).

Extends the General Assembly's sympathy to her surviving family members and directs the Principal Clerk to transmit a certified copy of the resolution to her family.
