Modifies G.S. 50-11(c) to clarify that divorce does not affect pending alimony or postseparation support claims, except as provided by G.S. 50-16.1A(4).

Creates a rebuttable presumption that voluntary retirement of a supporting spouse after age 67 is not bad faith and constitutes a change of circumstances warranting court review of alimony or postseparation support orders.

Applies the retirement presumption to all alimony, alimony pendent lite, and postseparation support orders, including those entered under repealed statutes.

Becomes effective October 1, 2011.
