Wildlife Resources Commission must conduct a study of fox and coyote populations in North Carolina and recommend management methods and controls to conserve foxes while managing coyote adverse effects.

Commission shall solicit input from hunters, trappers, hunting preserve operators, public health authorities, local governments, the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and private landowners during the study.

Commission must complete the study and submit a report with any proposed legislation by April 1, 2012 to the Speaker of the House, President Pro Tempore of the Senate, and chairs of relevant House and Senate committees.

Study shall be conducted using existing Wildlife Resources Commission funds with no additional appropriations required.

Law became effective upon ratification on June 27, 2011.
