Direct the Commissioners of Insurance and Agriculture to jointly study insurance products and statutory protections for agricultural contract growers who face financial losses from weather, natural disasters, or acts of God.

Require examination of current availability and need for insurance products protecting contract growers who have financial investment in animals they tend but do not own.

Require review of standard contract language, terms used in agricultural contract growing industry, and whether statutory protections are necessary to prevent ruinous financial losses.

Authorize submission of an interim report to the 2012 Regular Session and require submission of final report with findings, recommendations, and legislative proposals to the 2013 General Assembly.

Effective upon enactment into law.
