Establishes a full-service community schools pilot program in at least five middle or high schools administered by the Department of Public Instruction.

Pilot schools coordinate academic, social, and health services among schools, community-based organizations, nonprofits, and public and private agencies to improve educational outcomes.

Authorized services include family engagement, mentoring, community service, job training, nutrition and health care access, financial literacy, mental health services, and adult education programs.

Department of Public Instruction must report to the Joint Legislative Education Oversight Committee by July 15, 2012, on the costs and benefits of the pilot schools.

Effective upon enactment.
