Allows local boards of education to consolidate plans and reports affecting the school community to reduce paperwork, provided consolidation is not prohibited by federal law or grants.

Permits local school administrative units to satisfy planning requirements through a single school improvement plan if it adequately covers other required plans, eliminating the need for duplicate plans.

Repeals G.S. 115C-102.6C and G.S. 115C-102.6D(d) requirements for local school system technology plans.

Removes the Department of Public Instruction's requirement to randomly check and report on local school system technology plan compliance to the State Board of Education.

Eliminates the requirement for local boards to submit safe school plans to the State Board of Education, though boards must still ensure plans are available to parents and the school community.
